Go Global Pre-PRO for international expansion

Preparatory course for Go Global PRO for international expansion

275,000 yen (tax included)/month, paid monthly

One-year contract (renewed annually)

This is a preparatory course for companies that plan to hire a person in charge of international business in the future.
This course is designed for companies that need to expand their international operations but would like to do so while verifying consistency with their domestic operations, have not yet decided whether to hire internal or external staff, and would like to proceed through a careful preparatory phase without suddenly expanding into an international market.

For the time being, the course is designed for companies that have the management of the company temporarily take on the responsibility of the person in charge, and while creating sales promotion tools (including digital tools) for international business and building an internal system that enables direct trade, the course will shift to Go Global PRO as soon as the hiring of personnel for international expansion is decided.

This course is also used by companies that do not require overseas business trips, contract negotiations with overseas companies, or in-depth business English or cross-cultural adaptability skills, and that wish to expand their international expansion only through inbound business or cross-border e-commerce, which are mainly conducted under domestic laws and regulations. (Go Global Pre-PRO does not include on-the-job training for staff members.)

This plan is recommended for

  • Companies that are considering Go Global PRO for international expansion but do not yet have a staff member in charge
  • Companies that are considering international expansion for their website or e-commerce site only
  • Companies considering inbound business

  • 02

    Start of support

If there are no vacancies, we will start providing support a few months to six months after the application. The start date will be decided upon consultation.

  • 03

    First meeting

At the first meeting after the start of support, we will prepare and deliver the following materials (10-15 pages), which will also serve as an orientation.

    1. How to proceed with the support
    2. Proposed annual schedule
    3. Initial To-Do
  • 04

    Regular Meeting

Thereafter, we will meet regularly. The meeting will be held twice a month and last about 1-2 hours each time.
We will organize the necessary monthly actions and work with you to create sales promotion tools (including digital tools) for your international business and build an internal system that enables direct trade. We will also support the modification of website content, the conversion of internal documents into English, the establishment of a direct trading system, and the optimization of web marketing for both domestic and international operations.

As for inbound business, we will start inbound business once the service tools for foreigners are in place and an internal acceptance system is in place.

For cross-border e-commerce sites, we will increase our ability to attract customers through the implementation of international web marketing (SEO-enhanced article submission, content submission that matches the algorithm in SNS platforms, paid advertising as appropriate, etc.).

Service development (preparation) ←→ Service launch (implementation) ←→ Service review (structure)

With the start of inbound business and the opening of the cross-border e-commerce site, the workload of those in charge will increase. The annual schedules of other departments within the company that are gradually involved in the international business are also expected to become busier around the time of the service launch, so please be aware of this beforehand and make adjustments accordingly.

    Recruitment of staff in charge

There are two ways to hire personnel in charge of international business: (1) internal appointments and (2) mid-career hires from outside the company. The advantage of internal hiring is that the person in charge already has a deep understanding of the company’s business and can easily communicate within the company, including management. The disadvantage is that the person is inexperienced in either international business, inbound sales, or cross-border EC operations, so he/she must be willing to learn and acquire new skills as the business progresses.

The advantage of hiring a mid-career hire from outside the company is that by hiring someone with international business experience, you can expect an early start-up and promotion of the business. The disadvantage is that although the person is experienced, he/she has no “experience” in our products, services, industry, or customers, so he/she must actively transform himself/herself in areas where his/her past experience is not applicable as the business progresses. In the rare case of mid-career hires from different industries, such as from B2B to B2C or from route sales to new business development, the candidate must simultaneously acquire industry knowledge, communicate within the company, and develop new business from scratch, which can create considerable pressure on the person in charge.

Appropriate placement and recruitment based on an assessment of the advantages and disadvantages will have a significant impact on the continuation of the business.

We will explain the details directly to the management, the person in charge, and the relevant departments within the company at the start of our support.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q

What is the difference between Go Global Pre-PRO and Go Global PRO?

A

Go Global Pre-PRO is a preparatory plan for international expansion for companies that do not yet have a staff member in charge.
Go Global PRO is a plan to train a person in charge of international expansion through on-the-job training (regardless of whether the person is full-time or concurrently in charge), so a person in charge (inexperienced person is acceptable) is required at the start of the plan. Go Global Pre-PRO will mainly support the creation of an internal system (development of sales promotion tools for international markets, such as multilingual websites and English presentation materials), while also assisting in the recruitment of a person in charge of international business.
Go Global Pre-PRO also provides support for companies that mainly focus on cross-border e-commerce sites and inbound business development, and have no plans for real international expansion.

Q

What is the difference between Go Global Pre-PRO and Go Global SEO?

A

Go Global Pre-PRO is a plan for companies that need to renovate or renew their multilingual websites.
Go Global SEO is a plan for companies that already have a multilingual website that does not need to be renovated, and only requires the enhancement of web content (including blog posts) and SEO measures.

The following is a guideline for companies that do not need to revamp or renew their multilingual sites (for reference):

  • Less than 3 years have passed since the multilingual site was created.
  • Inquiries from Japan and overseas come in several times a year via the multilingual site, which directly lead to CV (orders).
  • The site is listed in the top 50 of Google searches for keywords (not compound words) that directly lead to CVs (orders).

If you meet the above criteria, our Go Global SEO Plan can help you increase the number of inquiries that lead directly to CVs (orders) and achieve higher rankings than you currently have. (We do not guarantee 100% of the top rankings.)

If you do not meet the above guidelines, or if you have a multilingual website (Japanese/English) and blog posts (Japanese/English, even a little English is acceptable), but you are not receiving many orders or inquiries that lead to orders from your current multilingual website, you will often need to make drastic changes or renewal, and Go Global Pre-PRO Therefore, we offer support through Pre-Professional Services for Overseas Business Advancement.

Q

Can I request Go Global Pre-PRO after I have completed the renewal of my multilingual website?

A

Yes, you can.
However, if the renewed website does not have sufficient content for the international target audience, it may need to be redesigned even immediately after the renewal.

In order to make the website understandable to international users, the following is necessary

  • Logical development, structure, and presentation that can be easily understood by users in English-speaking countries.
  • Information necessary not only for Japanese users but also for international users must be covered in a necessary format.
  • Japanese that can be translated into English should be selected for the manuscript. However, there are still very few companies that have a well-thought-out website that can be used internationally.

Some of the reasons why multilingual websites fail include the following

  • Not knowing what to say and how much to say on a multilingual site to attract international visitors.
  • They do not know what the differences are between a multilingual site and a domestic site (other than language).
  • Neither the web developer nor the client company has any knowledge of the international market (without knowing the right answer).

In order to prevent failures (as a matter of course), it is of utmost importance to provide content that is needed by your international target audience, but since web production companies often do not provide such drafting and consulting services, Go Global PRO and Go Global Pre-PRO provide support from the preparation stage. We can help you from the preparatory stage.

Avoiding the need to redesign a multilingual site, maximizing the effectiveness of limited budgets, and helping with staff shortages by working 24 hours a day in place of employees make website production a more challenging project than one might imagine.

If you are considering a renewal of your multilingual website, we hope you will consider Go Global Pre-PRO as an option before your renewal.
