Flow after applying to Go Global PRO for international expansion

  • 01

    Outsourcing Contract

Once you have applied to Go Global PRO, we will sign an outsourcing contract with you and begin providing support immediately.

  • 02

    Start of support

On-the-job training (OJT) support will begin as early as the following month or, if there are no vacancies, a few months to six months later. The start date will be decided upon consultation.

  • 03

    First meeting

At the first meeting after the start of support, we will prepare and provide you with the following materials (10-15 pages) as well as orientation.

    1. How to proceed with OJT support
    2. Proposed annual schedule
    3. Initial homework
  • 04

    Regular Meeting

Thereafter, we will hold periodic interviews. The meeting will be held twice a month, and each meeting will last approximately 2 to 4 hours.

During the first year, homework assignments (work) will be given to the manager and the person in charge every month. This mainly involves research and generating ideas. Brainstorming sessions will be held at each meeting, and the answers will be reviewed. We will formulate a business plan for international expansion and finalize a business model for the international market.

This process is almost the same as the process of launching a new business, but by becoming familiar with the PDCA cycle of research, thinking, and decision-making from the early stages of International expansion, we can develop a mentality and mindset that is not intimidated by international expansion. These are just a few examples of the many ways to acquire the skills necessary for international expansion.

There are two types of personnel who are in charge of international expansion: (1) full-time and (2) those who are concurrently in charge of domestic operations. Many of our staff members are initially assigned to work concurrently with domestic operations, and on average, they spend 1-2 hours a weekday doing homework (work) on international expansion in addition to their domestic operations.

  • 05

    International Business Trip

In a few months to a year, international business trips will begin at least 2-3 times a year. During the week or two prior to the international business trip, even those who are also in charge of international expansion will be immersed in International expansion homework (work) and preparation for the international business trip all day long.

Regular visits (preparation) ←→ International business trip (practice) ←→ Internal system (structure)

After the first international business trip, the person in charge often shifts from a concurrent position to a full-time position. We expect that other departments within the company that are gradually involved in international expansion will also become busier from around the time of the first international business trip.

We will explain the details directly to the management, the person in charge, and the relevant departments within the company at the start of our support.

Q

What kind of support system is provided by Go Global PRO’s consulting service?

A

Through regular Zoom meetings, which are held approximately twice a month, we will formulate a business plan, develop an export environment, create sales promotion tools for overseas markets, and prepare for overseas exhibitions and overseas F/S surveys.
We also make overseas business trips once or twice a year to participate in international exhibitions and visit overseas companies, but we efficiently incorporate Zoom meetings except for the most important negotiations that require face-to-face meetings.

Paccloa’s unique on-the-job training (OJT) support is provided at every step of the process, both on the desk and during local travel, to help you acquire the skills necessary for international expansion.
When you actually start overseas sales and transactions, you will have to communicate with overseas companies in English, and we will correct and instruct you on English e-mails almost every day.
We will proceed with a sense of urgency, proposing the most appropriate options and discussing the goals of international expansion with management as necessary. Please refer to Paccloa’s OJT service and the process after applying to Go Global PRO for specific details on how we proceed with OJT support and our support system.

Q

Can Go Global PRO handle both international sales channel development and international investment?
Can you also handle website renewal and review of digital tools?

A

Go Global PRO can handle both international expansion and international investment.
We can also provide support for overall web marketing, including website development.

Q

Is there a limit to the volume or number of times Go Global PRO can provide guidance via e-mail or translate e-mails from international companies?

A

No, we do not.
We will guide you as many times as you need until you are satisfied with the results, and we will support you in revising your e-mails until they are at a level that allows you to communicate with international companies in a favorable manner.

Q

Why does Go Global PRO emphasize on-the-job training?

A

Developing human resources capable of promoting international business is essential for the continuation of overseas business, but it is not the only reason.

For example, one of the most important aspects of international expansion is to secure human resources capable of promoting overseas business.
However, small and medium-sized companies that have no experience in international expansion do not receive many applicants when they recruit for international sales positions.

The reasons are

  1. (It is very difficult to develop new business (for unknown companies overseas).
  2. Despite this, budgets for international business are small and marketing activities are almost nonexistent.
  3. In addition, neither the company nor its management has any experience in international business, so the company tends to throw all the work at the applicant without any instructions. In addition, salaries are at best average for the industry and usually below the industry average.
  4. This situation forces those in charge to play the impossible game (i.e., solve and implement problems that are very difficult to solve), and it creates a fixed environment in which SMEs cannot move forward even if they wish to pursue international expansion.

The first step in breaking out of this situation is for the company to try international expansion.

Paccloa’s on-the-job training (OJT) support can be deployed to help current employees acquire the skills necessary for international expansion. As the company moves forward and gets its international operations on track, it will accumulate experience in international expansion.

This will eliminate the negative factors of starting from scratch (Reason 1) and the company’s inexperience (Reason 3), which are the reasons for the low number of applications for international sales positions, as mentioned above.
The environment for international sales personnel will then be greatly improved, and the company will have no trouble recruiting more international personnel and will be able to continue its international business.
The reason why we emphasize on-the-job training support is because we know from long years of experience that in order to ensure that international expansion does not end as a flash in the pan and that it continues even after overseas operations are on track, it is necessary to proceed with both the training of personnel to promote overseas operations and the actual overseas expansion as a set.

Q

If the person in charge of receiving OJT support from Go Global PRO for international expansion is concurrently working for a while, how much time do we need to set aside? How much cooperation from other departments within the company is required?

A

Even if the person in charge of the project is also in charge of the project, it is necessary to devote 50% of his/her time to the international project in the first year, 80% in the second year, and 100% in the third year.
If the A person remains in the same position in the third year, he/she will need support from other departments within the company.
For example, the duties that can be shared among the staff members include billing, design and development for international clients, trade practices, and preliminary research for overseas research.
